We're looking for a

React Native Engineer

About the role...

We recently shipped a full V2 of our Android app and are looking for a React Native engineer to own Android going forward in Warsaw. The immediate priority is maintaining feature and quality parity with iOS as both platforms evolve. You'll be the person responsible for making sure Android never falls behind: catching platform-specific bugs, optimizing performance, and shipping new features alongside our iOS leads.

What you'll do:

  • Own the Android side of our React Native codebase, from architecture decisions to pixel-level polish

  • Ship new features in lockstep with iOS to maintain platform parity

  • Identify and resolve Android-specific performance issues (rendering, memory, scroll behavior, startup time)

  • Work with product and design to ensure features feel native on Android

  • Hold a high bar in code review and advocate for Android users internally

  • Sweat the details on animations, transitions, and interaction feel to make sure Android doesn't just work, it feels good.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of React Native experience with meaningful time spent on Android-specific work

  • Hands-on experience debugging Android performance issues in a React Native context

  • Familiarity with bridging native Android modules when the JavaScript layer falls short

  • Comfort working across time zones with a distributed team (our engineering team is based in Warsaw)

  • Experience with visual or media-heavy applications is a strong plus

  • Working knowledge of Kotlin or Java for when you need to drop into native Android code

This role is right for you if…

  • You've been the person who actually cares why the Android build feels different from iOS, and you've fixed it yourself instead of filing a ticket

  • You care about how things move and feel, not just whether they function.

  • You want to own a platform. You're looking for a role where your judgment on Android directly shapes the product.

  • Comfortable using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) as part of your daily development workflow.

  • You get excited about visual, media-heavy products. Cosmos is an image-first platform, so performance around rendering, scrolling, and media loading is the job, not a side project.

  • You want to work on a small team where your work ships fast and is immediately visible to users

Benefits & perks:

  • 20 days PTO, plus company holidays, plus a 2-week winter break

  • Top-spec MacBook Pro, Apple Studio Display

  • Monthly stipend for software and tools

  • Coming soon: Co-working space in Warsaw

We're always looking for

curious minds to join our team.
